Course Description
This course was created in response to the overwhelming number of students enrolled in our Intermediate Class who asked for a review of the basics and the large number of students in our basic classes who asked for more detail about certain topics.
Using both classroom lectures and "hands on" classes we cover each topic from basics to a intermediate level. We have found that those students with experience benefit from the review of the basics as they advance their photographic skills to the next level. The beginners not only receive the basics of photography, they are exposed to a more advanced level allowing each student to achieve the skill level that fits them best. Students completing this course routinely tell us the combination of the basic and intermediate course works extremely well. This course includes homework assignments, lectures, "hands on practice" 2 classes in the field (weather permitting) and optional field trips.
In addition to the classes, the instructors are usually available after classes for questions. The course study guide makes great "cheat sheets" for future reference. Students are invited to attend field trips with other classes and with future classes. Students may also bring family and friends on field trips.

Schedule
Our Basic / Intermediate Photography course is scheduled year round. Generally speaking there is a 2 or 3 week break between the end of one group and the beginning of the next. Sometimes there are two groups in progress at the same time however there may only be one at any given time. To better accommodate our students, the time of day and day of the week change. Although most groups are scheduled in the evening, a couple times a year we do schedule afternoon or morning groups. Feel free to email us with requests for this course to be scheduled on a certain day of the week and time of day. If we receive enough requests we will schedule a group for that day and time if possible.
1 class a week, for 10 weeks.
2 hours per class.
Optional field trips are usually on Weekends but may be any day of the week. Field trips are open to both current and former students.
